The maintenance guys are awesome. The only real problems are parking and the office hasn't been staffed for over three months. The appliances are over twenty years old. Rent is ridiculous but better than most in this area. Grounds are nice, the new manager seems reasonable. the marketing is a bit of a stretch "resort style pool and fitness center" let's be real it's a shed behind the office and a puddle In the concrete. But overall not terrible.

I have loved Rockwood Lodge Apts. Have been here going on four years. New Management has taken over and I heard a rumor (it was recently confirmed) that when my lease is up rent will go up 13-20%. I am a retired teacher and pay my rent on time and live a quiet life. I am a good tenant. They are taking advantage of the fact that this is a Resort area classification, but I have friends who manage apartments in Sandpoint (next door) and it is same classification. Both managers said they went up 5% because of that same reason. Of course this relays to tenants they are greedy and don't really care. WOW, what a great impression new management is making on good tenants.

Would be a solid four if it wasn't for the fact that the apartments are ridiculously priced. And all the appliances are way outdated. ANNNND there is no microwave in the unit! Management is really nice!

It is expensive for what I am receiving. And I was told when thinking about moving in I was told electricity would be comparable to what I was paying (70ish) I am actually paying over 110 in electricity (with changing heat way down from before moving) the heating is just so inefficient and the heat just leaves through the roof. They are nice but they did lie a bit maybe not on purpose still a bit disappointing. For the price (I'm in a one bedroom) of over 1500/month I would expect no lies and good insulation. They sent me an email asking how they were doing and to their credit when I told them the dishwasher was broken they fixed it promptly. I haven't said anything about the insulation because they can't really fix it. But this is my honest review that they asked for. To be more honest when all the new developments are complete I may look for a cheaper place that is new and is built to modern code(aka modern requirements for everything /market crash) this one is just refinished. Side note I want a gas stove but apartments don't do that on principle now which is sad and irritating. So if you are reading all the way to this point good on you for doing research if you are thinking about moving here. And if you are part of the apartment complex personal food for thought sorry if it sounds scathing that is just how I talk little rough I know but either keep people informed of prices or don't lie, you should know how good or bad the building is by the code it was made by. Not something that is shown in what was given to me. Tldr it's ok just pricey for what you get but you do get a garage, not connected internally if you get a second story apartment.

Certain apartments can have satellite. But if you're in one that wont allow it, you're stuck with Spectrum, ONLY!
