Holiday Inn Express & Suites Havelock NW-New Bern, an IHG Hotel

We got a really good deal on this hotel, and given the price, everything was excellent. You can't ask much more from an inexpensive hotel than clean rooms. There's a neat marine museum behind the hotel with jets and helicopters, looks like a cool place.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very nice, the hotel was very clean,and the breakfast was one of the best we have had. The only thing I would suggest is to replace or repair the things that are damaged in the room. The ottomans were pretty dinged up. They didn't look very nice. Also the sleep away mattress was in pretty bad shape. It had a few stains on it, and it was very worn out. Other than those two things we really enjoyed our stay.

The entire staff were amazing. Especially Holly. She went above and beyond to accommodate us while were in town for a family emergency. She understood what we were going through and was there to meet all of our needs. I'm so grateful for her compassion to complete strangers. Another staff member even did our laundry at no cost to us. It's good to feel humanity still in a crazy world we live in. I'm forever thankful!

Overall a great stay. The hotel itself was great. Continental breakfasts in the morning. Indoor pool. Lots of parking located in a great place. The customer service was on point. The room was great. There was a single serve coffee maker, tv, pullout bed, desk, and lots of space formoving around. The only two things is: the door would not shut itself past a certain point. It basically had to slam itself or be pushed to. And the fridge was a mini freezer. Attempted to lowest setting, the middle, and the highest, and things would still freeze every time. I would still recommend the hotel.
