Horrible living conditions. We had black mold growing in our apartment which they refused to take care of and kept calling it mildew. It was black mold. We had to move out because we had a baby on the way and thhe management would not take care of the mold situation. They do not take care of the snow in the winter. Parking is horrible there are not nearly enough spots for everyone. Don’t live here

On March 30th, '22, I accepted a job transfer to the Coeur d'Alene, Idaho office with my employer. I submitted an application for an apartment at Fairwood Apartments in Coeur d'Alene, ID that same day. I received a telephone call from Debra with Fairwood Apartments the very next day regarding my enquiry. Debra was very polite, and knowledgeable about the rental property, and helped me feel comfortable about the rental process. She stayed in touch with me through e-mail contact with the continuing process of background verification, and assured me she will continue to be available with any questions/concerns I may have. Debra was interested in my needs, cared about helping me find a home on such short notice. In our fast-paced world, I appreciated having someone willing to help me, enjoyed helping me. Great Apartment complex! Nicole the community manager is doing a great job! I had heard bad things about the last manager but Nicole is working very hard to make things better. She really explained things to me well when I came in asking questions about the apartment complex and how to apply. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to live close to downtown or is a college kid. 5 Stars for Fairwood!!

Good clean apartments and a good place to live. I had a little trouble with some mold growing on the top of the shower but that was because I had not been cleaning up their regularly. I have found that as long as I do a good cleaning of my apartment once a week I don't have any problems with stuff like that. I also don't smoke or drink and I try to air out my apartment once every so often to prevent moisture from building up, those things also help with cleanliness. The new management is really friendly. There was some trouble I had with parking during the Winter months but it cleared up around summer time. The kitchen is pretty small but it does what I need it to. The only complaint I have is that the new management company has raised the rates a little and now requires a partially non-refundable deposit. That said, most 1 bedroom apartments in the CDA area cost at least $700 a month, Fairwood is pretty reasonable compared to that. The location is great! There is access to the Centennial trail network through a fence at the back of the complex! Overall I would say that Fairwood is a great place to live! Just keep up on the cleaning and keep your apartment in good condition and you will enjoy your experience there!
