I came by the Bark and Brew to introduce my dog to the environment before signing up. She's almost 2yrs old. We stayed outside the fence for a bit and it went very well while many of the dogs and their owners came by and were very friendly. Only one dog would occasionally come over and start a little barking session. I was ready to sign up. Unfortunately an employee who thinks he's a bouncer came by and announced that either I had to come inside or leave the premises immediately. I explained I was just trying to familiarize my dog before signing up. He didn't seem to care and just shrugged his shoulders. With this warm welcome, I can see why there are few customers in a place that should be doing far better. I'll think I'll skip the Bark and Brew and share my experience with others so they don't have to hear it from this meathead.

We enjoy visiting Lucky Dog. The people, dogs, and environment are great. We love that it’s laid back and enjoy all the TVs for watching sports. The climate controlled patio is awesome for year round visits. The only thing that makes me uncomfortable is the male dogs that mark their territory on everything.

I imagine this would be a dog park/bar but it definitely is a bar/dog park—emphasis is on the drinks so there’s minimal area for the dogs to play that isn’t right under your feet, especially in the outside area. Would be great with expanded green space and a designated drinking area with leashes required

LD is one of the best dog bars in Charlotte. They have great staff, great food trucks and a wide variety of beer and drink choices with indoor and outdoor areas for both small and big dogs. We’ve been coming here for four years. No cover and great specials!

Yes, that's fine from my experience. I would advise keeping closer to her when she first goes outside. Indoor must be on leash. If you go in and like it set up a membership or ask a staff person to go over rules. We have never had an issue with another dog, and their outdoor staff is extremely attentive to the dogs, but they do play rough house sometimes. Theres a small dog section outside that if its not crowded could be a great first step for such a young pup (if allowed). If shes real scared you can akways stay inside where all dogs are leashed. Enjoy!
Most certainly!
They asked for a copy of my vet records for proof of documentation - your vet should be able to give you a printout
