I went in to get a surf reel and some flies, got shown a ton of options with pro/cons, specific fly recommendations for the areas I fish, and plenty of tips on things I hadn't even considered. Definitely recommend stopping by, best in the Bay Area!

Don't normally write reviews of Fly Shops but felt compelled to after my recent visit to Lost Coast Outfitters--without a doubt the best fly shop in the Bay Area. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. Some things in fly-fishing you need to hold in your hand before buying. I have no better friends to help me prepare for my Post Covid fly fishing expeditions this year. George and Steve are great!

Awesome shop. I was SF from out of state and wanted to try some fly fishing during my time in Yosemite and the team at Lost coast outfitters were awesome in setting me up and had an available class for that evening for me to get some basics down for my trip.
