Beautiful trail. Easy to walk. Beautiful views. The only missing are restrooms. No bathroom facilities on property which is important to know if you have children. Also beware lots of poison ivy. We really enjoyed this trail.

We were looking for a small hike (walk) before heading into town for breakfast. This place looked easy enough for our two small pups to handle and was approximately 25 minutes from our campsite. While it was definitely cool, we wish there was more direction on which way to walk. We went left from the parking lot because we saw benches and a path. Eventually we ended up off trail to find this rocky beach and small rapids. It looks like a place where the local teenagers venture to be teenagers. We thought the maintained path we were on would wrap around to the other side of the river. When exiting, we noticed another path to the right of the parking lot. Even though it said private property, it seemed most folks were heading that way. 3 stars for the cool find. -2 for lack of map and trails to nowhere.

I went to fish and it was difficult to focus...the place was over run with snakes. I counted twelve in the hour we were there. I have been going for many years and still enjoy the park although if I took children there I would exercise caution.

Nice and serene place to visit. Wish they'd clean up the old bobbers that fisherman have left though.
