Always a pleasant shopping experience at Piedmont Grocery! The prices are comparable to Safeway and they have a great selection of prepared foods, meats, cheeses, produce and snacks.

I have been coming to this incredible market for 50 years. My supervisor at work mentioned this store and back in 1972, there were avacados with a sticker that read “ripe tonight”. They were $3.50 apiece back then. Their cheese and seafood selection is great also. I have a very old Piedmont Grocery credit card that also lists their location in Emeryville.

Wow, never been to a grocery store so overpriced. Regular branded items are 30-50% more expensive than somewhere like target. Not sure how they justify that, but it seems there are plenty of people who shop here anyway. I left without being able to buy anything without feeling like i was getting robbed.

This great little local grocery store packs an awful lot under it's roof! Large local beer selection, a full service butcher and seafood counter with conventional and grass fed/organic meats, and fresh salad /premade food bar along with freshly delivered bakery items round out the store for one stop shopping. The hidden gem is their cheese department- samples of their deliciously naughty housemade dips and spreads such as bacon cheese spread or creamy chicken entice you to buy several for pre-dinner snacking, lunchbox veggie dips, and midnight munchies. Also you can find flashback favorites such as New York Seltzer!
