My aunt is a recipient of Alameda county IHSS. I have never seen or had to deal with the most laziest caregivers in my life. To were i had to become her cargiver. I won't get into detail but if there is a caregiver that is ihss certified please add your name to a list so we can find some one that wants to work and not hard but enough to earn your pay . And when you leave your job at the end of the day know you accomplished something and helped some one that needed it.

The office moved to the first floor. Suite 168. The main entrance from the parking lot get you to the 2nd floor so, you will have to go downstairs via stairs or elevator. There's always someone there to assist you when you enter the office. They will ask you what you're here for and will give you a token. I suggest getting there early in the morning or getting there after lunch time (around 1pm). Otherwise, it can get busy here. They do, however, come by to ask anyone who was just there to drop off the forms, which can make the waiting time shorter if you are just there to turn in the completed forms. Thursdays are when orientations are usually held so, good luck finding the parking spot.

You can either mail it or turn it in to your local office. Make copies of everything. They tend to get lost. If you turn it in, ask for a receipt.
Classes are provided at your local IHSS office. Check the website first. There is a calendar with times and dates. Some days/orientation are reserved for different languages. They will give you a list of places after orientation that will do fingerprints.

Hi, you do not need to be unemployed. You can have a job and be an IHSS care provider. You will need to complete the IHSS orientation process.
