Avoid - the old lady that runs the store is rude to customers and creates an extremely unpleasant atmosphere

The theater kids working in this store will treat you like a complete piece of trash if you don’t look exactly like them. They’ve developed quite the “ nose up “ walk while they follow you around the store. They make you wear plastic gloves and ask you not to touch anything ( even the things you’re about to purchase ??) because they just gossip about customers in the way back all day and don’t wanna do ounce of work. I had $110 of stuff in my hands and was about to checkout when one girl walked up to me and said we’re closing for lunch.I said no problem and started towards the counter..I only made it half way there until a different little brunette “ girl” extended both her arms gesturing for me to give her the clothes I was holding and said “ sorryyy were closing for lunch otherwise we’ll dieee of hunger”. I again said no worries I’m ready to check out and she said “ no we’re actually like closing closing “ and took the clothes. Not sure why a store with dust on every item and 5 employees needs to entirely shut down for lunch and why they don’t want your money but ok. There’s tons of vintage stores in San Francisco, go to one where they treat all people well… Ps If you’re black definitely don’t waste your time or money you’ll be followed and watched. My little sister tried on shoes ( which she ended up buying ) and after 30 seconds of wearing them that same brunette said “ that’s enough hehe “ and did a nice little needy grabby finger motion. Strange place and stranger people with a distorted sense of reality

This place makes you wear plastic gloves to go into the store. When you ask about it, the guy cleaning shows says rudely, we do it because we can. He then insulting referred to tourists coming in and touching the merchandise. The merchandise is not as much vintage clothing as much as it is costumes. No thanks.

The little old blonde lady running this store is a thief. I bought a shirt that was tagged $11. Sales tax in San Francisco is 8.6% which would be $0.95, for a total sale of $11.95. Tell me why this woman ripped the tag off my shirt, hid it in her hands, and charged me $16 instead. She wouldn’t show me the tag and upcharged me when I know exactly how much that shirt was supposed to cost. She lacks the care and customer service skills that a retail worker should have. And she lacks the integrity and grace that a woman should carry. She’s just a sad old woman that has to steal from people to keep herself afloat. Do not give this woman your business. There is a nice goodwill down the street and plenty of other stores in the nearby area that won’t steal from you :)

Hi Chris! I don't work at Decades Of Fashion. The best thing to do is call the store and ask. I know they don't buy on the weekend's. This time of year is tricky. If they are interested make an appointment. You should have the price you want ahead of time. They pay fair ,but , keep in mind they have to resell . This is the norm for reselling vintage. You can expect about 35% of selling price. I hope this helps! This is the procedure for anyone wanting to sell. Don't forget items should be clean and in good shape. FYI The store is buying overalls, and 70s polyester suits. The wilder the better!! If you have these there's a really good chance for these to sell.
No we don't !
The store is really high and the owner is very rude. Expect to pay over $1,000 just to rent a dress
