I had a wonderful time last night celebrating my birthday and Saint Patrick’s Day at The Auld Sheeban! It was already packed with people celebrating when my husband and I arrived at 5:00 but we lucked into a couple of seats at the bar within a few minutes and stayed there the entire evening. The bartenders were amazing, getting drinks and food out at a fast pace all the while staying good-natured and friendly with their customers. I’m usually not a fan of traditional Irish dishes but their food was really good and I ate every bite. The band played all the traditional Irish songs I love as well as some I hadn’t heard before. We are newcomers to Fairfax and this was a wonderful introduction to the area. ☘️☘️☘️

Chill evening at Auld Shebeen with a nice dance-y vibe at the weekly Transit party on Wednesday in the cellar ( entrance at the side entrance around from the main entrance to the bar ). DJs spinning mostly dance music and sometimes experimental electronic music. If you have some time on a Wednesday night, it’s worth checking out. A video of the DJ spinning early on a Wednesday and some pics of the area outside.

Amazing food and service. Live band played classic Irish music. Our service was top-notch. Free parking nearby. Large menu with lots of options. We had a wonderful time and will go back.

Allison was an amazing waitress. The shepherd's pie was some of the best I've ever had, and the jalapeno margarita was incredible. I hope I get to come back to VA and eat here again soon.

We are located on the corner of North street and 123 in Old Town Fairfax so we don’t have any parking of our own. If you call the restaurant before you arrive there is some parking at the back of the restaurant at the handicapped entrance and we can assist you.
Wear your mask until you get to your table.
There is Wi-Fi. You just have to ask your server for the password.
Super loud downstairs not as bad upstairs. We were able to hold conversation pretty easily. May be more difficult for someone with hearing issues tho
