Great two level shelter and the picnic table is covered! The water source is super close and is always running clean and bountiful. It's also only 4.5 miles from Rockfish Gap so if you're hiking and need supplies or want to stay at Stanimals Hostel this is where you pull out before starting the Shenandoah National Park.

Stopped at the shelter for lunch on my way south. Shelter has a covered picnic table, was very clean and there is lots of space around for tents. 50 yds or so from Mill Creek which would be nice on a hot summer day.

Great rest area, be prapred to walk and to cross a small river, there is a shelter, camp sites and fire pits, no food, so bring your own food. Also dont go up the JEEP trail because .2m later you will run into a private property sign. The place is in a valley so there is not much wind and is on SE slope, perfect for overnight camp.

Great setup with multiple campsites surrounding the shelter. Easy to access for through hikers or beginners. Latrine is well maintained.
