I would not go here if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions. Crozet Pizza has put items on my pizza that I cannot eat multiple times, which is beyond dangerous for a restaurant. It concerns me that they were very nonchalant about it. Quite frankly, I assume the only two reasons people go here are because they don't want to drive that far for something to eat that is moderately edible, or they have nostalgic memories. The prices are far too high for this kind of service and quality of food.

Being from New Jersey my wife and I were skeptical of the quality, but we were both surprisingly satisfied with the pepperoni pizza and garlic knots.

I ordered a cheese pizza and some fries. I’ll start by saying that the pizza had so little cheese, it was mostly marinara. The pizza was pretty flavorless and all you can taste is the dry Italian seasoning that’s sprinkled on top. The fries were very very salty, we could not eat them even if we tried scraping the salt off. This has to be the first time I’m ever disappointed by pizza or fries.

Staff are exceptionally friendly. The pizza and calzones are solid, good fare. Just not exceptional. If we lived closer it would probably be our go to pizza joint but isn't quite worth the current 45 minute drive for us. They were out of the famous key lime pie when we went so I may change to 5 stars if I get a chance to try it

Hello Mr Wells, thank you for your question / comments. Our pies are baked at 650 degrees and generally speaking, they are on the well done spectrum for most. Not burned, however charred on the edges. Our process with how we make our make our dough and proofing stages, if we bake on the well done area what occurs is the cheese burns. We do not have any issues with our baking process. We also do not take payments by phone any longer since we have an upgraded POS system for our business and taking payments by phone is costly with processing fees as well as mistake prone with risk and fraud. We have an online ordering platform for guests to make specific and special requests. As in WELL DONE if Sams is your barometer of well done pizza.... you most likely visited the wrong place. Our ingredients are on an entirely different scale than your suggestion. Crozet Pizza
