Very nice winery!. I visited several in the area on a vacation trip and while this winery does not have all the magnificent landscapes of others, the wine is worlds better. The lady who waited on us during a Sunday was fabulous and great to talk with. I rate them highly for truly being a good winery and having passion for the art of making good wine.

No real view and a small amount of seating both inside and outside, but all of the wines were FANTASTIC. Tucked away, but definitely worth a visit!!

I read this place was a no-frills location and upon entry I was disappointed UNTIL the staff through our entire tasting explained each individual tasting from the front notes to the back notes etc. It made for such a wonderful experience! I hate that we were on a wine tour and were rushed as we probably only spent 30 minutes max there. BTW out of all of the tastings I tried I preferred the Burgundy. And being a red wine lover I absolutely loved the Chardonnay with the apple & sesame notes 💕

This is for the Shaps Wine works production facility/tasting room just off Rt 20. What can I say other than WOW! During this trip we visited 6 wineries in the area and they had by far the very best offerings for wines. Nothing special about the facility or views just amazing wines. They offer Virginia wines as well as French wines from both of their winery facilities. Reds, Rose’s, and whites tasted all recommended. Petit Verdot, Meritage, French Rose, Cab and Tennat were our favorites. Will definitely be back and will definitely enjoy the many bottles purchased for home.

People bring their dogs all the time. I would just recommend having it on a leash, as I've seen some dogs not get along with others...as can be expected. Now if you're bringing a llama, that's a different story altogether.
