While enjoying @smithmountainlake, we decided to dock to this vibrant restaurant. The young guy welcomed us and helped us to dock our boat. There is a live band playing outside. It was jam packed so we need to wait for a couple minutes but the young hostesses were so accommodating and nice.. when we went inside we are situated nead a rowdy group of teenagers, who i think were drunk at midday. They were so loud that we cant even hear each others convo. I think one of the food crew is there friend. I am giving 4 stars since Food was served 45 minutes after we ordered.... food is not the best but still we had fun... nice experience. I think they need to recruit older more mature food crews.

We went this past Sunday and returned again last night. I would now call this place exceptional. The service is excellent, including the entire staff. Even the owner and our previous server from Sunday remembered us! Food was excellent and we went to half price burger day. I strongly recommend you try this place. Environment is fun, clean and inviting. These newer owners truly have their act together and we appreciate it!

Think Drifters is mostly for adults to eat at because the quality of the kids food at $9 is pretty sad. The kids pizzas were over cooked, tough & the same ones we had in school cafeteria line. Now we will come back to have a cold beer because because his beer was cold & the server was good. But as for eating I think I might try some where else next time & it really stinks because we have never been here before & the expectations were not met 😔.

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff and right on the water. Dine in and outside options. Even bring your pooch. You can drive right up or park your boat in the marina. Fun feeding popcorn to the carp and bluegill. Enjoyed the great local menu.
