Dog sledding was one of the main reasons we visited Pagosa Springs, and it did not disappoint! From the time of booking and throughout the experience, Joy was so helpful and patient in figuring out the best way to get my family of 5 on the ride of our lives! We spent a while getting to know the dogs before learning how to harness them in and connect them to the sleds. Then we received a "driving lesson," and off we went into the Winter wonderland, full "dog" ahead! Feeling the power of the dogs pulling us was quite remarkable, and the ride through the snow even more so! I was a bit intimidated by the idea of driving the sled, but it was no problem and loads of fun! Our kids rode inside, nice and cozy warm, and they enjoyed every moment! After the long ride, we helped Joy remove harnesses and then enjoyed some warm drinks and reflected on our time. It was truly wonderful and a one of a kind experience we won't soon forget! If you're in the area and considering dog sledding, you've gotta go with Mountain Paws! Joy and her team of dogs are unmatched!

Joy @ Mountain Paws and her dogs provided a memorable hands-on experience during our recent sled tour, from learning to harness each dog to his/her spot on the lead and manuevering the sled. I highly recommend this tour while visiting Pagosa Springs CO.

This is the BEST experience when in Colorado! The dogs are so sweet, Joy is very informative and will make sure you have the best time. We have dog sledded with her twice so far. You should book with her! You won’t regret it!

Amazing experience from the scenery, to the sledding and the customer service. ️❤️Joy and her dogs are great️❤️! You will experience dog sledding first hand. You will receive instructions and training. I have done numerous tours/ experiences in outdoor recreation and this is among the best. Book early, these are small groups with personal attention. Our experience was with 2 sleds(families) in a beautiful remote location that has a wilderness feel, exactly the way I wanted my family to experience dog sledding!

Both operations are good! You can give me a call 970-819-5022 and I will be happy to discuss whether Mountain Paws is the right fit for you.
Mid January to the end of February is a great time since there are not as many people here. Christmas and spring break (March) are usually busy. Even if you come in the non-snow months, we have cart tours (on wheels) which are also fun. Fall is beautiful with the changes of leaves! Give me a call and I will be happy to talk about the various possibilities. ~Joy
