Good luck getting your RV in, even better luck if you get it back out! The stream was kinda loud.

Camped here at least a dozen times over the years, surprise it's still clean. Very quiet and the river can drown out the traffic that isn't that much to begin with.. Now in early to mid fall it gets damp and chilly due to the creek and temp drop, not much sunlight. Never had any bad experiences other than Chipmunks chewing through my North face Sea Bag on my motorcycle, Don't Feed the wild life.

THis place is beautiful, you can camp right next to the Hondo river, mountains on both sides for free. You will sleep with the background music of flowing water. We camped there during August and November time, it was in 20's but we had -20F sleeping bags. At that time they had a lot of chipped wood which was helpful to keep the fire going. We had stayed there for 3 -4 days both times, and would leave our tents and go out roam around, ski. hahah...my bf did not want me to give review of this place, because not many people camp here and he did not want more people to come ruin the place. So please cleanup when you are leaving.

I have been visiting this campground my whole life. For 40 years this place has brought my family great memories and experiences in the mountains!
