Bought my first BMW today. Carlos was great to work with. He was friendly and knowledgeable and didn't use any pressure tactics. I could tell that he takes pride in what he does and really wants to help his customers. I searched dealerships across the state and Flow was the most responsive and seemed like they wanted my business. Katie in finance was also super helpful. The grade of gasoline Plus vs Premium will not matter to your X5, and will not alone be responsible for the start-up issue. However you should use name-brand gasoline (Shell, Exxon, BP, Citgo, Chevron, etc.) vs no-name brands. Also, try to frequent fuel stations that have lots of customers, as these busy stations have the freshest gasoline - and your X5 will run its best with fresh fuel. Old gasoline, especially gasoline with ethanol just a few months old can start to break down chemically and the ethanol additive attracts water (from water vapor in the air). Summary: low quality or old fuel will make most modern gasoline vehicles unhappy (hard-starting, rough idle, sluggish acceleration, hesitation, missing). Happy motoring!
