Let me start out by saying these are some of the sweetest women I’ve ever met they really cared about helping me find the funds to help my dog they tried to find other solutions so I wouldn’t spend as much money with them. They even recommended me to cheaper vets around Winston salem even tho they were tight packed and we couldn’t get my dog in I appreciated everything they did for my family I wish I could bring my pup here all the time for all his needs because I really trust this place with my dog everyone is so kind and not judge mental at all please bring your pups here if any emergencies do happen they will make sure your little guys are safe and taken care of . Thanks again for everything Carolina specialist !

I took my cat there around midnight on 6/11. He was in an emergency situation. He had a blockage and could not urinate. They were quick to get him in and back to the room as soon as I got there. They were detailed and thorough when calling me to update what was going on. Highly recommend this place for any after hour emergency care for your animals. They were a little pricey but totally worth every penny for a life and death situation for your pets!

I took my dog there because she seemed to be in quite a bit of pain. To limit crowding they did have us wait in the car, which I understood. There was a long wait but they were honest about that upfront. They were also open about pricing, and setting expectations for the cost of every service before I made my decision, which I also appreciated. They performed an exam and prescribed my dog some pain meds. They let me know if issues persist to reach out to my regular vet. I was very pleased with their service. It was worth the wait to make sure that my fur baby was OK. Amy was very friendly and respectful! I wouldn’t hesitate to take my pets back in the event of an emergency.

My mom's dog a dachshund broke its back. They operated and took such good care of him. Took him today for his 4wk appt and doing so well he is now released from Dr's.

This place is a last resort, only if your vet is closed. The vets are better than the receptionists, but be ready to pay E.R. prices.
Ha! They take ADVANTAGE of everyone! Shame on them!!! Karma isn't fun 😉
Cont:completely missed internal bleeding, concussion and distended stomach Complete waste of $600+...MONEY HUNGRY pet had to be put down the following day! DON'T GO HERE! !
They do not have a rehab department anymore but they used to a few years ago. They no longer offer water or laser therapy.

Dwayne, no vets give free exams. If it's not an emergency and you're willing to travel, vets in more rural areas are usually more affordable. For instance the vet in Walnut Cove is significantly cheaper. Not to disparage Car. Vet., they've been there for my pets in emergencies...
You need special medication, sometimes a combination of them. All of these are prescribed after an exam and bloodwork. A seizure is an emergency in animals if it lasts more than 5 minutes or you have 3 or more in a 24 hour period. Hope your baby gets seen soon by a vet and recovers quickly!
Ophthalmologist is only at the Greensboro location.
I have been receiving alot of spam calls so I don't answer unless I recognize the number. Too much to text if you want to call back. I would avoid them. When I lived in that area there was a vet in Stanleyville and I believe it was a 24 hr. hospital. If you can afford to do so and your pet has a serious health issue I would go to NC State Veterinary. It would have been cheaper for me by the time I paid regular vet bills, the E.R. here, driving up there and renting a room. I knew my dog had Cushing's Disease but she was still energetic and playful. She had developed pancreatitis. I also discovered she had diabetes with ketoidacidosis. After around $1700 I left with a dog and her insulin had not been regulated. Plus she developed some kind of germ. She wasn't breathing well and was sneezing a yellow discharge which I suspect she picked up there. I still debated on whether to take her to NC State Veterinary on the way home but I found a local veterinary office.
They seem to have everything covered. My Shih Tzus sees an ophthalmologist in their office in Greensboro
Most pet insurance companies require you to pay upfront and reimburse you, the pet owner, later.
