Superb. Food was consistently amazing, service has the class and attention of a bygone era. Ambiance is 'elevated casual,' and is as inviting as could be possible. Don't sleep on ANYTHING braised - chef has a preturnatural ability to cook low and slow. The end result? One of the best 'dollars to donuts' dining experience we've had in Maine, will absolutely be back on a weekly basis.

Had a great meal at the Tavern last night with my wife and daughter. Evan was our server, and he did a nice job. He was pleasant, attentive and helpful. My daughter had the Lamb shank, my wife had the blackened Salmon and I had the Linguine with shrimp, scallops an clams. All were excellently prepared with a great presentation. We all love the quality and amount of food. There were lots of sides to choose from, I picked broccoli with Bleu cheese, it was fantastic. We sat in the outside area, which was very comfortable and warm for a cool night.

Fantastic meal!! It was our first time at the Village Tavern, we went based on reviews and couldn’t be more pleased! We were blown away by the service and food! It is not what we figured a “tavern” to be! Totally 5 star food and service. Beautiful indoor seating. We asked for the owner at the end of our meal to express our compliments. We had the lobster risotto, muscles, beef tips, and short rib (+ drinks). Each and every item was cooked to perfection, absolutely delicious! The bill came and we were shocked that with the food quality and service it wasn’t doubled! Very moderately priced. We highly suggest if you haven’t been-go, if you have I’m sure you’ll go again...we will!! On top of all that, watching how the staff scrubbed and cleaned their kitchen made us feel very safe during this crazy time! Kuddos to your whole staff on their skill and professionalism!
