I've managed to dodge mediocre Chinese food. Maybe it's bc it's the end of the night and they didn't feel like seasoning the food. But I hate to say it was the blandest Chinese food I've had here in Tucson. Mapo tofu is supposed to be flavorful and savory and leave a little but of numbing sensation from Szechuan peppercorns and it was straight up just gravy... I was so sad. I'm going to doctor it up myself with my Chinese ingredients in my pantry. Green beans lacked that punch I'm used to... The Mongolian tofu had potential but everything felt under seasoned and I want to like this place as it is only 3.5 miles from my house... Underwhelmed and sad bc I've had some great authentic Chinese food. And I cook as well... I just didn't want to do the work and feel sad I didn't just whip something up instead of spending almost 50 bucks. Maybe it was an off night.... I dunno. I guess I'll have to fire up my wok tomorrow and doctor up the leftovers. I'm legit sad about this. The high rating misled me as I suppose those who rated has never had a legit Chinese meal in a proper Chinatown.

The Airbnb host recommended this place. And I’m glad I tried because I did a lunch special pick-up from here a few times while in the Oro Valley area. The food was tasty, solid Chinese American food. The Mongolian beef was nice. Also, the portion was good, and the price was reasonable. When visiting the area, I will be returning to this restaurant.

What a delicious and fresh dinner. Everything tasted great. Nothing was over salted and the veggies were not over cooked. Other than eating in China this was by far incredibly delicious, thank you! We'll be coming back for sure.
