I would like to think that PetSmart would treat all animal lives, big and small, with respect, but I am unfortunately mistaken. Every time we come here, the treatment of their fish gets worse and worse. As avid fish lovers, and I know for a fact we are not alone in that, this place has become a living nightmare that I refuse to spend another dime at. I encourage other fish enthusiasts to do the same. I've included pictures of entire tanks of dead fish and shrimp and fish huddled up at the top of the tank for air. It's apparent that the employees here could care less, since the dead ones are repeatedly left to either get caught in the filter or for the ones lucky enough to still be alive to eat at. I've never seen a place with so many dead fish and to see young koi that can live to be 50 years old dead at an inch long is atrocious. Their stock of other live creatures seem to be dwindling as well. Supposedly they have "gone to a loving home," but it's starting to feel more like when your parents tell you your hamster ran away... I'm not buying it.

The local PetSmart has kind staff and I've never had a bad experience here. I get my pet food and go where there is sometimes a bit of a long line, but it gets going. The store is kept clean and nice and busy. Keep up the hard work, everyone.

Their fish have always died on me fairly quickly. When I inquired about other local pet stores, I was lied to and told there were none close, when there is an aquarium specialty store on the same road. Back to the survivability issues, today I saw a horror show. Dead fish in every single tank, LONG dead, dead Bettas in at least ten jars at the Betts display, employees seemed pretty nonchalant about it, kind of like "oh it happens". However, my two children weren't so nonchalant and I got to explain the concept of death to them today. I myself was mortified, as an avid fish fan. These people need to be fined for animal abuse. PetSmart has always had a reputation with us aquarium hobbyists as cruel, but this was another level. The lady keeping the aquariums basically said "I don't know why we have so many dead fish" and tried to blame it on the supplier. Lady, because one dead fish begins to decay and releases extremely harmful bacteria. Your filtration system is interconnected. Go sleep with a corpse and see how long you survive. You have all your fish swimming in corpse juice.

Not recently. Although i reccomend something that is native to Florida (slider) in case it escapes 😅. I know turtles are slow, but it happens.
I was told by a foster parent that the cat I was interested in, Cassio was at your adoption center and I am trying to locate him........could you please advise me. Thank you Debbie DuFresne
No, but there's a.pet store on the other side of the mall that usually have them available.
Sanford pet Alliance the people that show up in the store only give shots
I haven't seen in birds at this location but the location across from fashion square Mall does have birds but idk what kind
They have cat adoptions at the store. Thete are several larger events each month when they bring in more cats, small animals and even dogs. I went there recently and they had aboit five tp six cats.
No But there is adoption s on Sat. And Sun. And lotsoflove may have puppies.
This is very busy store so probably not. It depends on availability. The store on east colonial by home depot may be a better option but call BANFIELD before you go. We are separate entity.
It is dependant on the size, type, and demeanor of the pet.
