Career Source Polk paid for my entire nursing program. I am a registered nurse because of them. The staff was always polite to me. Ethel is the best advisor. I would recommend anyone to come here if in need of financial assistance to go to school or if you need help finding a job.

Was there to update my resume and to apply for reemployment benefits the staff was very helpful especially Mr Luis Castro

the employees do not help the person seeking services. I went to claim my aid and what they did was talk on their private telephones and another one doing her own resume. A very poor quality service. I did not go looking for anything that I had not paid for.

I have never in my life met so many rude staff members in my life. I was trying to do the cash assistance program and had to him through hoops to just get good cause to not participate so i could look for daycare for my kids ( they expected be to bring my kids to the volunteer site and sit in the hot sun for 33 hours a week). While i was suppose to look for daycare some health issues came up with my 4-year-old son. He has to go to speech therapy, physical therapy, the Ears Nose and Throat doctor to see if his adenoid grew back and if they did he has to have to have surgery to have them removed again and he has to go the neurologist because the doctors believe he has neurofibromatosis ( a disease that causes tumors and the body.) Even with the referrals to the doctors they are me in putting me in sanction. I sad i could get a form signed by his doctor stating his health issues they expect me to put my sons health second and their program first. I am going above all of their heads and going to the media. Not to mention my case worker was rude and made me feel very uncomfortable.

Yes & you can use Career Source computers or go to: www.employflorida.com to register. To apply for unemployment, go to: connect.myflorida.com
If you have money to drew from you can it depends on how long you been working
Yes I was there Wednesday morning and I was helped by the staff there it was around 8:30 am and it was open.
No, there are no walk-in offices for unemployment and haven't been for years. CareerSource is a division of DEO (Department of Economic Opportunity) same as unemployment, but this agency assist all Floridians with employability, job readiness and continuing education issues; regardless of eligibility for unemployment benefits. CareerSource Polk is the State Workforce agency. But can assist with SOME un / re-employment claim issues. If it's something that CareerSource cannot assist you with, at the very least they can guide you on what exactly needs to be done to fix your claim.
There are also quite a few more websights also
Connect.myflorida.com
