Friends and I went today to explore The Sunshine Center. We joined and took the Caribbean Aerobics class, great class awesome workout. The ladies at the front desk arranged for a tour. A lot to do there. Everyone was so very nice.

This is a fantastic place for active people 55+ to keep their bodies moving and socialize They have a newsletter that has the schedule of events for the month. And it is a great place to volunteer. The Sunset cafe has a new menu and it is absolutley fantastic and affordable!

An excellent resource. Go in and ask for the monthly newsletter, which includes a calendar and social agencies you can access on the second floor. Most activities free. Fitness center, yoga and exercise classes, hobbies, garden club, thrift shop with great prices, cookouts in the courtyard, day trips, small library on honor system, and much more. Central location near Mirror Lake and the branch library. Not to be missed.

Yes, if you qualify, some jobs may be available through an AARP program. But, there is a career center in the building also, I think.

The Sunshine only has transportation for day trips or occasional overnights. PEOPLE in wheelchairs are certainly welcome but transport service not offered by the City of St.petersburg

It is SO easy to provide with a bread breakfast Food Bank.....It is SO easy to provide a cold supper, each evening (4pm)........transport by Lyft, van. For the TRULY handicapped. Say 1x a week ... Every question has a vague answer, no hours or dates. The page SUCKS wouldn't you say? I smell complacency. And it received govt monies and the receive stipend pay?? No info. Dormant and vague. WAKEUP

I believe anyone can go to the cafe snack bar. You do not have to be a member unless you want some classes or programs.
