It is my belief this y discriminates. If you have a birth defect that limits your movement when you're not recovering from a surgery you Do Not have equal rights to pool usage. As I was told by branch manager, lap lanes are only for swimmers not those doing physical therapy who are learning to walk and maintain balance. The kicker is classes will take the only general swim lane your allowed to use leaving adults to use kiddie pool. I joined for the gym, access to a pool made it worth a extra $50.oo more than a competitor. So yes they do discriminate when the same privileges are not given to someone with a special need that is given to physically fit person!

Instead of teaching your children to be crybaby snowflakes, teach them to stand up for them selves.. And you people letting your kids be the bully's Your failing as parents too... It's not the Y's job to teach your kids to be "good" that's your job as parents before you send them out into the world or drop them off at the Y and expect them to police the kids

I had a horrible experience with the before and after care at Bay Point elementary .. The staff there don't care about your child and are quick to suspend your children for any little thing that they do , all while still paying them your money .. The children sit in the cafeteria until you come and pick them same goes if you put them in summer camp .. No activities , they run around until they get in trouble and get written up .. just water day on Fridays !! What a camp , right ? !!! Your children will get bullied by older children and the staff can care less !! They also don't have what it takes to deal with a child that needs extra attention!! If your child is hipper and needs activities to keep them out of trouble, this is not a place for your child ... They will get suspended left and right until they get kicked out the so called program because the staff rather take more time to be on Facebook /phone than give attention to your child .
