We just happened to be driving through and I happened to see the sign and piece out of the corner of my eye. We immediately turned around. I couldn't not go see it. 9/11 changed my life forever, as it did the lives of everyone around the world. I couldn't pass up a chance to pay my respects.

This is an absolutely outstanding memorial. Do not miss visiting it if you pass through the main part of Gila Bend on East Pima Street.

For those of us who were involved with people in New York that day, this memorial was a surprise! Just seeing a small part of the building brings back a flood of memories of that event. I thought Gila Bend did a beautiful job in the design of the memorial and when you pass through this wonderful town, take a few minutes to stop at the 911 Memorial.
