I chose to visit this spot because I ride a motorcycle and am always looking for new destinations. I have lived within 25 minutes of this place for 8 years and had never heard of it till recently. It feels like it is in the middle of no where, which is perfect for a destination ride, but it really isnt far off the 85. Its a great spot. Nice views, a great little gazebo for resting and a few parking spots. It looked like it has some fishing as there were some fishing out on the water and if you are into bird watching there were quite a few water fowl and other birds I couldnt identify. Also worth the trip if History is your thing, I guess it has a bit of a historical significance.

I’ve been wanting to come here for a while, so on one of my days off I decided to make the trip. The drive there was pretty dead, I barely passed any people. Once I got there the small lot was full so I parked in the dirt right next to it. There were a couple people fishing and other people were just exploring the area. Very cool spot, highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to take a Sunday drive.
