How do you have a non emergency number that literally just hangs up on you? What is going on over here because everytime ive called the police in need no one ever helps me.

Horrible police officers, good at making false arrest and creating fake evidence. Had a problem where a seargent almost assaulted my one year old son and since I didn't keep quiet about it they kept harrasing me. They wake me up from sleep at midnight saying they got a call that my tv was loud while it was off. Arrested on a dv with photoshopped evidence. Arrested by officer philip, transported by officer davis on a bogus d.u.I charge with fake breatherlyzer test result that the DA couldn't present at trial (case #: TWV1400323) knowing it was fake but needed to cover up for the officers and the department; and themselves for filing false charges the third time against me. They even went as far as having a PD ( sergio salcedo) representing me without my consent even after a judge told him to get a PC 977, never met him in my life. He continued representing which i still don't know nor have i been given an answer.

I've lived in the city since 2006. I've had 8 different crime/ theft experiences since living here. The lack of response and enforcement is just appalling. If you report a break in it might take 8hours to get someone to come out, sometimes no one comes at all. The transient and meth head problem is disturbing, the lack of response from the city is worse. The most recent incident, someone broke into my wife's car while we were on vacation. An arrest was made because the guy broke into multiple cars and someone saw and called it in. No charges were pressed for my wife's car because the guy had a warrant. Even though I insisted charges be filed. Upland always takes the easy and lazy way of doing things. I couldn't get her car fixed for almost 2 months because UPD refused to release the report to me(victim) and my insurance. Once they finally released the report, I had to pay for it $20 and it was full of redactions. When I lived out in Riverside and Riverside Sherrifs protected us, we had less officers and somehow much less crime. We would all be better off if we disbanded UPD and brought in the Sheriff's.

I have had nothing but positive experiences dealing with upland police department. I do not understand the negative reviews here. Officers have always been prompt to respond to any service calls and have been both polite and professional to deal with. I can say the same about their dispatchers, who in my experience are courteous and very helpful. I’m happy to live in the city with such a responsive police department. Keep up the good work!
