Tonight my friends got engaged at this restaurant and I can't say enough of the staff. From meeting with Alfredo the manager to work out the details the night before, he was so accommodating with where to sit them to working with the staff to make sure everyone was on board. Today when I was there to get Ready to take pictures and videos both Alfredo and the incredible server Ashton came outside to go over details. Everything was perfect and I can't thank them enough for being so wonderful.

Bone Marrow (I don't really care for bone marrow) was the worst I've had to date. To make matters worse, it was paired with what look like esquites...why? Why pair greasy bone marrow with corn? A LOT of corn (which nobody ate). Almejas al Vapor Picantes (Little neck clams) soooo boring with bizarre flavor combinations. My friends kept asking where the chorizo was (about a tablespoon of crunch chorizo crumbles). Makkum Whole Branzino (Fish) wasn't horrible. The fish was cooked well, with delicious blue corn tortillas, but the seasoning was very mild and boring. And the salsas that came with it were a serious let down. One was extremely sweet with mediocre flavor. The tomatoes weren't ripe in another one. Disappointing. Finally the Pana Cota. I was really excited about this, but talk about poor execution. The Pana Cota itself is a very rich, dark chocolate. Honestly, too much flavor and bitterness for being the majority of the dessert. It was paired with a tiny scoop of hazelnut (?) gelato which was delicious and disappeared quickly in order to balance out the heavy chocolate in the Pana Cota. Price I'm all for spending money on good food and ambiance, but this place is WAY overpriced for the execution. WAAAAY. $475 for 4 of us. 8 drinks, 5 appetizers, 2 entrees, and a desert. Again, if properly executed, "take my money". Sadly, we enjoyed the Chilean sea bass we made at home last night more than what we had a Chaak. A good amount of our meal went uneaten which adds insult to injury.

First time here and sat at the bar. Started with a Sour Orange Margarita and it was tasty, however it wasn't as sour as I would've liked. Ordered the Coliflor and the honey aioli it came with balanced out the char of the cauliflower, the black sesame seeds also added good texture. Honestly loved the dish. I also had a whiskey sour and it was very well done, egg white and all. Also shout out to Patrick and Raul, they're amazing bartenders and service was impeccable.

I discovered Chaak Kitchen after it was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand award. It is quite popular at night, although the parking in the area is quite a pain. They have a lovely collection of Margaritas and Gin and Tonics. Their menu has a lot of Tapas style dishes, along with some larger taco dishes. We decided to get a bunch of tapas dishes which I thought were all quite tasty.
