In summary, the mix at center city have the potential to be a great place to live, its seated in a historic place with great culture. Now, i know someone is looking at these reviews for any clues just like I was, hoping for something good but I'll be honest with you (You Can Find Better) I wouldn't move here. Iv'e been here 5 months and have dealt with various bathroom floods, homeless taking drugs outside my bedroom window then talking and fighting with themselves all night, constant issues within the apartment, the nasty smell of dogs and the apartment building looks bad. NOT TO MENTION PARKING!! iv'e been unfortunate enough to rack up $411 in parking tickets because the complex doesn't assist residents with reasonable parking. The leasing office staff is good people (Leslie, Jojo, and Chara) are all good staff, i don't blame them for any of these issues. I believe all of my concerns are rooted from the people who invest money in this complex I think they are being cheap and thats why we deal with what we deal with.

We love living at The Mix. I know how important reviews are when apartment hunting so I decided to break everything down for those who are looking for more info. Application Process 10/10 Shara is amazing! She is super responsive and easy to talk to. Even now, she always answers the phone when I call. She and Leslie are always there if we have any questions or need help. Amenities 9/10 All of the amenities are great. The gym is small but honestly has everything you need. I like that it has a separate room for yoga/cycling and you can workout without everyone staring at you. The pool and lounge areas are nice and never crowded. Washing machines are in unit. The only thing I wish we had was a dog bath area or grass area for dogs. There is a little dirt area with bags outside and a dog park about 7 minutes away so not a deal breaker by any means. Noise 8/10 Our apartment faces the street and there is a police station and fire station nearby. The windows keep most of the noise out but if you like the windows open it can get loud. Overall we don’t have any noise issues with the neighbors. Maintenance 7/10 They usually come within a day or two and take care of everything. We even had a late-night emergency and someone was here within 30 minutes. The elevator does break down somewhat frequently and we have to take the stairs for sometimes a day or more. We did have some trouble with our hot water and it took multiple tries to fix but Julio didn’t give up! He’s been very helpful and is always friendly when we see him around the apartment. Apartment 10/10 We live in a loft and have amazing high ceilings. I love that windows take up a whole wall and let in all the light. We can even see the Disneyland fireworks every night. The washer/dryer combo is super nice to have in unit but it takes forever and you can’t put very much in it. We just take large things to the laundromat. We run the AC every night and I work from home. Utilities are around $50-$70 depending on the month. Parking 8/10 Everyone gets one spot underground. There is a waitlist for additional parking but we were only on it for about 2 months. The additional parking is in a different structure but it’s close and has security. If you plan on street parking, you’ll just have to cross the street. The neighborhood has decent parking. Area 9/10 Disneyland. Packing District. Good Food. Everything you need is here. Honestly we walk to Vons or CVS sometimes because it’s faster than driving. The food is amazing and there’s a farmers market on Thursdays. There are homeless but they are harmless. Usually they mind their own business or just say hi and keep walking. This is a highly patrolled area and we haven't any issues. Price 9/10 Apartment prices are ridiculous these days but I feel like we’re getting exactly what we pay for. This apartment has more square feet than most and is in a great area. Overall Experience 9/10 Great place to live. We’ve met tenants who have been here for 10+ years. Everyone is very friendly and dog loving. Staff is super helpful and responsive.

I applied over a month ago and put down a deposit for an apartment. They end up telling me that I don’t qualify based off of my income. Now I have called 5 TIMES to get my deposit back. They still have no returned any of my phone calls and emails. I’m glad that I did not get this apartment as the leasing office is a complete joke. If you’re thinking of applying don’t bother. They just want to take your money and never respond to you again.

Why are my husband and I getting the run around from everyone we have talked to here? We reserved an apartment and turned in all required documents just to have the "third party" who handles the screening process reject our documents because they were scanned?? We have asked if last years tax returns would suffice or if we could bring the required documents in because we have the hard copy form and NO ONE can give us a straight answer. On top of this, everyone my husband talks to says they will find out what can be done to help us finish up the leasing process and no one ever calls back. He has called repeatedly over the last two days and still no one knows what to do and no one has offered any solutions. We were quickly informed that after 72 hours we cannot not get our money back though. If someone can reach out to us to help resolve this issue it would be greatly appreciated.
