I’m currently staying in the lodge. It’s simply a place to stay, yet charges as if it were something more. We were assured yesterday evening that if we dropped off laundry before 830 am that it would be returned clean by 630 pm. When I went to the front desk this evening they assured me that I’d missed it in my closet. When I returned to my room it was not there. Different front office staff said that “laundry does not pick up today.” When I asked whether they knew the schedule for laundry when they told me to bring it to the front desk, they responded “I don’t know.” Save your $600/night and stay somewhere honest.

Upon check in my family and I were greeted by two young friendly girls. One was Maria who was kind enough to get us into a room a few hours before the official check in time. And thank goodness cause our kids were ready to start our vacation. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. Maria was able to put us in the cottage right next to the pool which was so worth the extra money when vacationing with young kids. The young girl that drove us to town was so sweet and patient with us and our kids. Excellent job whoever does the hiring and/or training. We will definitely be back this summer!

Lovely stay in the cottages! Great location with easy access to Sonoma and Napa valleys. The bikes offer easy access to downtown Sonoma and should be utilized. Breakfast was nice with its Mexican flair. There’s even a little ginger cat that may make an appearance during your stay :) Wine tastings are a great thing to include in your daily schedule too!

The place looks very nice on the surface but has some issues. The staff is nice which is why I gave them a second star. Per the picture below, I was told that this was normal for well water but having lived in the country all my life I can tell you that their well is just not properly filtered. They comped my breakfast but honestly not being able to take a bath for the week wasn’t awesome. Also it’s important to note that if you’re staying anywhere near the pool area (which I think most are) it’s going to be unbearably bright all night long and there are no curtains in the room. The blinds keep out a little bit of the light but you really need to have something to cover up the window if you want to sleep well. Besides a breakfast restaurant being very slow those were the main issues. Nice place and nice staff but the rooms need some work.
