As I drive to work every day early in the morning, I pass by the Redwood Gospel Mission on the corner of 6th and Wilson St. Lit up in red on the side of the building are the powerful words, Jesus Saves. Acting as a beacon of hope for men that find themselves in need of food and shelter, the Mission ministers to the needy so that lives are transformed. Men that qualify, can stay for up to 30 days. They are given a bed to sleep in, food, showers, help finding a job and programs to become clean and sober. In these uncertain times, it is good to know there are places like this that exist in our community.

Visited it after 7 years. Sad to say they're not as friendly as they were when I went there. I'm chalking it up to COVID-19. I would hate to think that the culture that was there has been changed by Chris Keys.😒😔

RGM is one block North of Old Railroad Square on Wilson. This Mission can easily be found by the JESUS SAVES sign affixed to the building. For years this Mission has helped the homeless and the down and out to feed them, shelter them and give them spiritual support. They help men and women recover from addition and drugs by the programs they provide. This is truely a blessing for the community. They have nightly church services at 6:00pm. On the First Sunday of every month ministers from the Lighthouse speak and Worship dancers from Taimalietane Islands of Polynesia preform to worship songs for the people in attendance.

This shelter is for MEN ONLY, and the staff is callous to everyone else. I tried to help a homeless woman find a place to be for the night, and the man was so rude, like he knew her, and was just and absolute ass to her, just because she speaks with a thick Scottish accent and didn't understand what he was saying, I hardly did. If you are a woman, seek help elsewhere.

Yes ma'am you can drop them off at the front desk at 101 6th Street in Santa Rosa California thank you for your donation
You would need to go down there and talk to the guy at the front desk but they always accept help
Dinner is served after church services. Church starts at 6:00pm and ends about 6:55pm. Priority is given to allow women into the food hall first then men file in. No alcohol or drugs are allowed inside the mission. This is a Christian based facility. If you need help recovering from an addiction RGM has programs to help with that as well.
The Redwood Gospel Mission has two programs: the New Life Program for Men at 101 6th Street, and the New Life Program for Women at Manna Home located at 1048 Wild Rose Drive, both in Santa Rosa Ca, and both a minimum of 10 months, and approximately a maximum of 14 months.
