We canoed and camped to Island View just a mile or so from the boat launch The paddling was easy and there were a few spots to dock and eat lunch (nothing official) However since the water levels are incredibly low-probably has decreased by 100 feet it was very difficult finding and getting too the campsite as the terrain looks different from the map given. If you are camping be prepared to carry all of your gear up to your campsite! That said island View was lovely and fitted about 24 people

I took my dog to Lake Sonoma to get some air and visit the fish ladder. It was cool watching the fish navigate the ladder. Great place to have a picnic lunch and take the kids.

Yes, on a leash on all the trails. Maps at visitor center.
Yes. Some parts are closed but mostly is open for Camping and Boating.
Yes next to the public boat ramp
Largemouth bass, channel catfish, bluegill, sun perch, and steelhead trout. May be some others but that's all I've caught there.
