Nice little nature preserve in Petaluma. If you’re staying at the Sheraton right by it then I would highly recommend taking a stroll on the trail during your stay. Dog friendly and lots of wild life!

I love this trail. It has been helping me find my way back to healthy. Paved a good portion and a wide unpaved portion of trail, makes passing easy. It is also a bird lovers paradise. It has sweeping views of the surrounding Petaluma hills and it is right by the Petaluma River. Beautiful 😍

Great trails for enjoying birds and ponds. Flat, easy trails good for all ages. Lots of meandering trail choices and little nooks to explore. Some beautiful swans and tons of ducks and water birds of all sizes. It's a great spot to walk by the water year round. Parts of the outer loop trail follow along the Napa River and sometimes you can watch the boats go by. Every season there are new things to see!

Bike friendly, but not at all challenging. Think a two-mile flat loop with pretty scenery.

You can fish in the Petaluma River from the platform over the water at riverside of park. Also a few bank spots to drop a line. The water is tidal and brackish.
