Amazing. Induced by an offer on Facebook for a dinner related talk, I made a reservation and invited a colleague. After about a week or so I was called to say that their talk was canceled and merged with a talk a few days earlier. I scrambled and was able to arrange my schedule and my colleague was able as well...on a Monday for a Wednesday evening presentation. I had asked them to call me back after discussing this, call never came. The day of the talk I called to confirm (in this day of covid and with their history of poor communication and rescheduling), was given a run around, and eventually told that my reservation was canceled by them! Without them even bothering to tell me, and with them having accepted my initial reservation and then specifically called me to rearrange and confirm my reservation for a moved-up date. Needless to say I was outraged. My time and that of my colleague are valuable, and I went out of my way to make arrangements for us to be able to come to a presentation two days prior to the one I was initially scheduled for. What would have happened had I not called? Would they have just turned us away at the door in the evening? Amazing. No, amazingly incompetent, rude, and certainly not what I would expect a financial service company to do given that their whole function is to provide service to people like me, and my colleague, who have significant retirement funds that they could have managed. And that's how they make money. Duhhhh..... If these people wish to manage my finances and perhaps my colleagues, but they can't even arrange their talk and dinner properly and don't even have the courtesy to keep us informed, then I would definitely not recommend letting them touch your money. They will certainly not see any of mine, my colleagues, or any of the many physicians that I give talks to in Orange county. Good luck Coto. You have an interesting business plan, that being offending the high earners who you would wish to recruit. Fascinating.
