My man was in a motorcycle accident 6/2022. he broke his leg from his thigh down to his foot. Dr. Put in an apparatus to hold it in place. The staff on the 7th floor where rude, and they ignored him, anytime he pressed the Call Nurse button, the nurse asked: "can I help you? He asked for pain meds, and get no response she said nothing just tuned it off. I did not believe him when he told me how they treated him, but as I sat there I witnessed it for myself. He can not get up to use the restroom. I visit early every day but the onetime I went in the evening, I notice his door which was out of glass, was closed and the curtain was closed. They had him in the burn unit. I walk in asked why was it close, he said "I have to use the restroom, I can't get anyones attention, I'm being ignored and look I pulled off all the wires from my chest and still no one comes in to check on me." I walked out to get his nurse 13 minutes later she walks in ask if he need to use the restroom then stopped and noticed his monitor, "what happen, you pull them off?"" I responded "he sure did trying to get your attention. He could have been dying and no one would have came to help him. I'm not saying the hospital it bad. Don'tget me wrong, the Doctors and the Surgeons did a wonderful job putting him back together. It's the "FEMALE" nurses on the 7th floor, who had no respect for the patients they stand outside the rooms laughing and gasping about personal issues to each other instead of doing there job. I hope this issue with the nurses staff on the 7th floor gets resolved, cause all patients should be treated with care and respect no matter who you are.

My husband had the misfortune to fall at a department store and they called the paramedics. He should’ve been taken to HOAG, but there was a ten-car accident on the 405 and the Hoag emergency room could not take another patient. There are other hospitals in the area, however, the ambulance driver unilaterally chose to take him to OC Global Medical. I gave OC Gm one star simply because it’s the only way to leave a comment. I would not give them any stars. Communication from professional staff to patients and the patient’s family was sparse, at best. Little was explained, and only after persevering. Despite the threat of Covid, my husband was placed in a shared room, which was changed at my insistence. This is a doctor-owned hospital and if I were one of those doctors I’d be ashamed to have my name on the facility. Doctors come when they’re available, on-call doctors are unreachable. Doctors don’t update orders, so when a person goes from being NPO to being able to eat solid food, the nurses don’t know and don’t care. It needs a fresh coat of paint and renovation, but clearly that’s not in their budget. The place is a dump . I cannot emphasize more the place is a dump. They lost one of his personal items, despite being the ones responsible for his personal items. They asked no questions about his health condition. It was only my information, given verbally in-person, that influenced their decisions; to put in another way, I had to insist on certain drugs not being used because they were contraindicated for his kidney condition. They are not consumer- or patient-oriented. They must be the only hospital in OC that does not allow family to stay overnight in the room. I did not ask for a bed or a cot, merely a blanket, assuming I would be allowed to stay overnight in my husband’s room, only to be told it was against hospital policy. The only reason I did not take him out of the hospital, was not that it would be against medical advice and the insurance wouldn’t pay, but because it was a head injury and I was afraid there might be small bleeds and only a CT scan would reveal that in the morning. I truly hope he will be alive in the morning to receive the CT scan, given the ignorance, indifference, and gross lack of communication from staff to patient. I’m quite certain my husband will not be discharged until very late in the day tomorrow; if it’s one minute before 4 PM, I will be stunned. They are tacking on every possible CYA they can think of and it’s clear they need the money because they can’t afford to paint the place, so our insurance will be billed for an entire day, rather than half. day.

I would like to share my personal experience giving birth at this hospital because before I gave birth at this hospital I looked at the reviews and they were mostly all terrible reviews which frightened me so much especially because it wasn’t only me anymore it was my baby also that was going to get delivered here. I asked my OB to change me hospitals because of the reviews but due to my insurance I couldn’t. Once again I’m sharing my personal experience and how it went for me and my baby. The moment I got there the nurses in the labor and delivery were so nice to me. They made me feel comfortable and helped me stay calm as I was having a scheduled c section. Then they took me to the OR and all the doctors in there were so sweet as well especially my OB doctor whom delivered my baby via c section his name is Dr Hamzeh. After my baby was born and out of my womb it was time to head to Mommy and Baby Floor to recover and the nurses there were all amazing and very attentive. Here are the names of a few nurses that I am extremely thankful for; RN Lourdes, Adriana, Carolina, Jill, and a couple more whom I can’t remember their names. They are angels. They were great to my baby and I and constantly asked me if I needed anything or helped me get out of the bed and go restroom. I was discharged in 2 days after having a c section which I was impressed and grateful for. I was admitted 4/16- 4/18/2022. I have nothing bad to say about this hospital from the floors I experienced which were Labor and Delivery, OR, and Mommy and Baby.

I had to take my brother here for chest pain. Wow, the experience couldn't have been any better. Staff was friendly, attentative, helpful and really seemed to care about not only the needs of my brother but also my concerns. We were in and out in less then three hours. It included blood work, x-ray, EKG and a chat with the doctor. They were very thorough.

Yes you need to have either your vaccine card with a current booster, OR have a negative covid test. At home Covid tests are not accepted unfortunately. You can test at Pharmacies or Urgent cares etc. If you call the front desk they'll inform you on how long that will allow you visitation for. I believe it's 48 to 72 hours, if you plan on visiting past then you'd have to take another to get you another 48 to 72 hours etc. Hope this helps 🙏. God Bless you and your Family.
