What a great meal. Lots of unique Hawaiian meats, drinks, and deserts. The kalbi beef and the Mac salad are great and the creamy Sriracha sauce is smacking. 10/10

The restaurant atmosphere is cluttered and a little dirty. One of our plates had a hair in it. The food was okay, and it was pricier than it's competitors. Probably won't be back.

Conflicted... sticker shocked. The food was tasty. The teriyaki chicken tasted really good. Some people may be turned off by the peas and carrots in the Mac salad but it works. The rice was flavourful and the teriyaki sauce tasted soy sauce based. It was less thick and sugary then other Hawaiian restaurants. I enjoyed the flavor. Some might not enjoy it, but some will love it. I would give the food a 4 or 5 stars. But unfortunately there was some issues. First the price. Holy cow 18.51 for a few Oz of chicken one scoop of rice and one scoop of Mac? Most places are in the 7-8 range. The states largest Hawaiian chain store sells their large plate that come with 5 peices of meat, 3 rice scoops and 2 Mac scoops is only 14 ish. Price isn't everything tho. I'm willing to pay for good food. But for a premium price it needs to come with some extras. Unfortunately the price didn't match up with the restaurant or service. First thing I noticed was the girl who doesn't greet people as they enter. And also talks so soft that nobody could even hear her. I watched as 3 different people came in a asked her repeatedly to speak up. She was dead pan and didn't communicate to guests. She only spoke to answer questions. She is the face of the business being the greeter/orders. I could tell that each person entering got frustrated and felt she didn't care. Changing someone to a friendly outgoing person would help the businesses perception a ton. Not just for me. But everyone. The moment you enter the employees can set the tone of the business. A whole in the wall restaurant with friendly staff and great food wins every time. But that was not my experience or the others who entered. Also the restaurant is run down. It wasn't very clean and it was cluttered. It doesn't need to be 5 star dining. But that shiny new massive apple desktop sitting on the counter was a stark difference. It's the small things. I understand food prices rising and this difficult time. But if you are going to charge a premium then you need to make the small changes to justify the cost. I love telling friends "Hey the prices are high, but the entire experience is worth it. Go try it. But I find myself conflicted because I would not recommend this to friends and its unfortunate because the food is one of the better tasting Hawaiian restaurants in the state. So if you don't mind very high prices for a decent taste, but can ignore the many downfalls, then please do try it. You will like the food. But I could easily suggest another Hawaiian restaurant not far from there that checks all the boxes. I hope this place finds their mojo because the food is definitely better then almost all the Hawaiian places in the state. And we love local food.

We were excited to try this because of their great reviews, but it wasn’t up to snuff. The seating area and the kitchen were not well kept, the portion sizes were small, the price of our food was $5 more than the menu stated it would be, and the customer service was lacking. There was a young woman that tried her best to provide good service, but her happy attitude was overshadowed by a gruff man who seemed annoyed we were there. Their one redeeming quality is their Kalua Pork and Mac salad. The flavors were great. But not great enough to justify returning. Pictured: their very underwhelming bowl size ($10).
