The Egyptian is a classic Hollywood movie house that underwent a significant upgrade a few years back. Mostly special features and events, often followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers. Small balcony seating area is choice. There is also the small Spielberg Screening Room.

A beautiful place to see a movie! Comfortable seats, affordable concessions and a nice big screen make this a great destination to watch a film. If you have a couple of hours on a Saturday morning you should take the behind the scenes tour to learn more about this wonderful historic theater. Great value for the price!

Been here several times for movie screenings, lectures, Q&As, and the historic tour. I highly recommend the tour, which happens once a months and lasts about an hour. Very insightful and you will get to see parts of the theatre the public doesn’t, such as the projection booth. Love the screenings put on by the American Cinemateque. Large clean bathrooms. Beautiful historic theatre. We always park at Hollywood and Highland mall parking.

Everyone goes to the Chinese Theatre...well this one is just down the street, and it's every bit as lovely. It may not have the stars' hand and foot prints, but it has character, and a nice place to sit, and fun shows! We saw a small silent film festival and it was fantastic...they even had lovely piano music accompanying all four films! So walk down Hollywood Blvd a little ways and come enjoy a real beauty of a theatre.

The movie I saw there was sold out the day of the show. I bought my tickets online via Fandango the day before.
I can't answer that. I was there with my son for the TCM film festival. Special screenings. I am not sure about regular movies.
At this time there are no tours of the Theater as it is under renovation... Once it is done I would image they will do tours to show the refurbishment...
Call theater for event screening
Yes we are waiting for you. !
No it is under construction right now
Yep
Not sure. But most of theatres have this option.
No
There are lots in the neighborhoods behind and surrounding the theatre, but if you have insurance and don't mind parking at the street meters (which are closer), that's a cheaper option forsure!.
Same age requirements as found at other movie theaters with the rating of said movie playing.
