Great! Love the nostalgia. The employees are great as always. Love the effects, the Oregon player, the introduction to the movie, and everything that leads up to the movie. Always such a pleasant visit to the El Capitan theater. Thank you so much.

I attended the FYC Fest last Sunday where Jimmy Kimmel introduced Norman Lear, "King of Comedy" and prolific writer of over 100 shows. We were greeted by a marvelous organist, then screened two of Lear's top shows, "Facts of Life" and "Diff'rent Strokes," featuring the original casts. Mr. Lear will turn 100 years old July 27 and is still working. Bravo and many Congrats to this H'wood icon!

The most beautiful theater experience. Disney really restored this classic theater to all its glory. I highly recommend you show up early to take in the organ player before the show as well as a great movie.

It all depends on the showing, and seating. The VIP tickets are a bit more expensive, but it also came with a bucket of popcorn and bottled soda of ones choice. To me that was cheaper than buying them separately. As an example, my event was for the movie Coco. 2 VIP tickets balcony-center. Seats row AA 101,102. Included was a souvenir popcorn tub and a 20oz twist-top drink. Reserved seating. Price was $26 per ticket. I'd recommend going online to order your tickets, as they sell out quickly. Don't bother with will-call... print out your tickets, or try showing them on your phone.
El Cap does not give refunds however, call first speak to manager or come box office they may exchange it for another day.
Regular Reserve tickets are $16 for adult and $13 for child/senior or you can get the VIP package which includes a popcorn tub & 20oz drink for $26.
You can park at the Hollywood and Highland complex across the street. El Capitan will validate your parking ticket.
Lots of goodies. If you have something specific you want, there's a mall across the street that has a candy shop in it.
Not directly inside, but the Ghirardelli directly next to it sells their merchandise I believe.
Yes they do
26 dollars each
It is a "hit-or-miss". Actors are regular people, too, and enjoy the movies. It's in Hollywood so you have a good chance to spot one or two.
Yes. At the box office outside the front entrance. More convenient buying online though.
It was before the movie, and the $3 parking is in back of the Dolby theater, you need to scan your parking ticket inside El Capitan theater to make sure it gets validated or you're gonna pay more!!! The parking lot in the backside of El Capitan theater charges $30......, way to much!!!
Ghardelli ice cream is next door
It was part of a trio of theaters meant to create the now thriving theater district of Hollywood that included 3 "themed" locations. It included the El Capitan, the Eqyptian and of course what is now Mann's Chinese.
I would think a unopened bottle of water would be fine but they do a bag check and you have to walk through a metal detector.
No free parking, there are several parking structures across or around the corner from the theater. One of which you can get validated at theatre and would be only $2.00 just make sure you take the stub with you!
Call them or go online to see if anything is left. That's your best bet. Good luck
Hard rock cafe across the street Several restaurants nearby that are good
Depends on what you're viewing! The website tells you all about that fun stuff!!!! So worth it!!!!!!
Yes
Where should I park if I am going on a tour near El Capitan theater in Hollywood?
Right now only online. And PARKING? we went thursday evening and its a flat rate of $17 at Hollywood and Highland...park on Hawthorne...free street parking at night 😁
No one. They're invite only. They invite Disney bloggers sometimes, so that might be a way in, but typically it's invited guests only. Occasionally, they invite fans to fill a bleacher section, but you have to be "known" as a mega-fan. If you really want to try to contact someone, look into Disney Special Events, but it's not like just buying a ticket. Sorry if this isn't the answer you're looking for, but I've been working with Disney on these events since 2015, and they're pretty locked down. You're always welcome to watch from the sidewalk on Hollywood Blvd.
All VIP
The movies are only in English
Yes, you are allowed to record anything before the movie starts. When the movie is about to begin all cellphone must be put alway...
Maleficent Oct. 18 2019 - Nov. 17 2019 | Star Wars 9-Movie Marathon Dec. 18 2019 |

Do not !!! It does not come in a package you buy separately what you want to eat
It is owned by Disney. Anything Disney makes, Marvel, Lucasarts and soon X-Men will play here.
Never heard of backstage tours.
3 and over. Under 2yrs they must sit on your lap. They cannot occupy a seat
Exactly call the Box office. They can always. But your tickets at will call
You can always go on the website to see what will be playing on their website https://elcapitantheatre.com or call them at 1-800-DISNEY6
Processing fee.. pretty common for movie tickets online
better to call them
Not sure as I was there to help set up the band Disturbed for the Jimmy Kimmel show
We bought tickets with the wrong date. They never sent printed tickets, and when we showed our e-tickets at the ticket booth, they were SO NICE AND ACCOMODATING and fixed our mistake.
Snow white, little mermaid , Cinderella just a couple coming up
You will need to visit their website to get contact information about events.
No
They usually email the week before about a Thursday opening night event, but since this is a Thanksgiving opening, maybe they'll go a little earlier? Maybe two weeks? I doubt they'll post anything before then.
but..you can by popcorn and it has refills...and usually there is someome playing live music before the movie starts...sometimes, like with Infinity war, they display actual props from the movie...in the case of infinity war, they had some of the costumes that actors used.
They offer group discounts but you have to call to verify. 800-disney6
The El Capitan Theatre is owned by Disney, so they play Disney-owned movies, like Marvel, Star Wars and Pixar. It would be a great place to see Jurassic 2 though!
There is a local number, they take phone orders for event trading pins released every month.
As he may have been there for the special marathon, probably not.
Yes there's a regular one downstairs and up by the balcony there is the VIP concession stand also
Amazing how many people think the reviews are written by the venue...
Good evening, the details said 70th anniversary of snow white at el capitan, what do you mesn you dont know
Call the theatre directly and ask. They will be able to take your payment over the phone if at all possible and email you a confirmation. Btw, Lower Balcony Center are the best seats.
Yes, the Metro Red line stop is literally across the street
I believe they are showing the movie there but I would suggest looking at their web page first.
Depending on the length of the movie
