Crowne Plaza Anchorage-Midtown, an IHG Hotel

Room and hotel itself are like any other 3-star hotel. Nothing special that makes this place a “four star hotel”. The breakfast needs some serious attention. They call it a “breakfast buffet” and charge you $20 per person. We went three days straight and each day was the same horrible experience: 1) no clean tables to sit at; all full of dirty dishes 2) no clean silverware or plates to use (probably because it’s all sitting on the tables) 3) the trays of food empty and not getting replenished… so you stand around 10/15+ waiting for scrambled eggs or a fork 4) only two servers, and only they can get you a drink, so we waited over 30 minutes to get a cup of coffee Will not be back.

When I booked the room, I had listed pet friendly hotels and Crown Plaza is not a pet friendly hotel and I had to cancel my reservation due to internet error. Not pleased at all.

Enjoyed my stay here. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly during check in. The food vouchers for spire elites was a nice touch and def would be coming next time I’m in town.

I always stay at IHG hotels, the Crowne is normally one of my favorites. Not this time. My check-in was a mess as was my check out. When I checked out I spoke with desk clerk about running it 3rd party and she assured me it would be. After calling and speaking to her twice to email me a receipt, I stopped in and picked it up before catching my flight out of town. The wrong card was charged. A different lady at the counter fixed it for me. Thankful for her, annoyed at the poor customer service prior to her.
