The kind words truly matter to us here. Covid19 switching us to all telehealth and online counseling services sure was a change for us. We still do our best to provide a great service and personal connection with each client whether in-person or virtually. Our truly caring and professional therapy team of Counselors has rolled right along with these changes! And... the office dogs still make an appearance online every now and again too!

Hi there. We do it all here. Lakewood Child and Family Counseling helps all types of folks and situations. We're happy to Listen and to guide when needed. We work with people who are well and need support, all the way to, people who are in crisis. Just call our front desk at 253-617-3559 and we can see if we have an opening and a provider open who can bill your insurance plan. Not all of us can bill insurance. Unfortunately, not every providers can accept every plan. So, give us a call and we can help sort through it with you. If we don't have a probider who can accept a certain plan, we might know someone elsewhere who can. Thanks again.
HI Martha- Thanks for reaching out to us. Your best route to diagnosis for autism or ASD is through developmental pediatrics, typically an assessment with an MD, ARNP, or Child Psychologist. We typically refer to Mary Bridge Developmental Peds, Good Samaritan in Puyallup (Multicare), or Seattle Children's hospital. These folks can get you enrolled and diagnosed there, as unfortunately these diagnoses are beyond our scope of practice and license. Thanks again for contacting us. We wish you well in your journey. Hi Linda. I'm so sorry to hear about your son's situation. Unfortunately, we do not provide assessments here. We provide direct Counseling services here in our offices. I'm not clear on who provides inhouse services there at that jail. You could try a private psychologist, although they may not travel into a facility. I wish you the best of luck and wish i could be more helpful here.
