I don't usually write poor reviews however some things need to be known if your going to camp here. On the website it said the 2 sites we had were fully shaded. There was no shade and no grass. They said this is due to the drought that has been going on for 4 years. The website should of been updated. If your tent camping, you want shade. On the map the sites looks like they are a pull through. It says it's a loop. This is NOT correct. It was a small curb that does not work if you have a suv tent. The lake is very muddy but refreshing. We had terrible people next to us that partied until 3 am. This would be fine if your not camping close by in a tent with children. Not very family friendly. If you have a motorhome to block out some noise or love to yell profanity all night then this is a good place. The guy managing at the time was very nice .

Nice state park stop, blue water, boat launch, and daily gazebos. // May and water 58° but felt amazing on the way back from a Good Water Rim MTB ride. Dogs had fun

We love camping here. Great hookups and amenities. Kids love to rent equipment. We fish and boat but also just enjoy the beach. Hoping the grass gets healthier. Its drought season but the dirt needs a little lawn cover to keep it from turning into a dust bowl when the wind blows. Would be back to five stars with some lawn care.

This park is so great! There is boating, kayaking, fishing, swimming, camping, and an easy walking trail that encircles the lake. We have our state parks pass so we could park for day use without paying anything extra. The campgrounds are around $30-35 I want to say depending on the site you choose. And you can rent a cabana lunch area for the day for $10. Day use for non park pass owners is $10 We caught what seemed to be the tail end of a crane migration that passes through every year. So fun to see all of the water birds out enjoying the clear emerald green waters. Highly recommend this park to anyone who is looking for a good place to take the family and your four legged doggy friends! A 6ft lead maximum is required for all pets. But it's great that they are allowed in almost the entire park!
