Great hole in the wall type restaurant! We ordered takeout— drunken noodles and dumplings— and we were impressed with the flavor. I ordered my noodles with medium spice level and the dish was (surprisingly) actually spicy! I’d prefer a bit more sauce but it was still delicious. Don’t forget to ask for silverware if doing takeout. Also loved the interior decor! Very nice vibes.

Excellent! We're seated promptly. Our server, Star, was professional, helpful, and courteous. We ordered the dumplings, the steam buns, eggplant stir fry and chicken pad see ew, both entrées We ordered Thai hot spice level. Absolutely delicious! Templates was perfect, flavor was incredible! My only criticism was that the steam buns were a tad overdone and a but chewy/hard in spots but still eatable. Anyway the service and overall taste and presentation of the food made it well worth it. Definitely one of the best thai spots. Highly recommend!

I got the spicy basil with chicken, it was very good and filling, definitely recommend. I also got a piece for the green tea matcha cheesecake which was heavenly. Also each food has a level of spiciness to chose 1-3, I just chose one for this dish but could have been spicier, their popular dish is the drunken noodles, and I hear they are fantastic as well, and they do boba tea as well.

My recommendations are the King’s Fried rice, Tom kha soup with chicken, Thai ice tea (It’s milk based to cut the heat.), and mango with sticky rice when the mangoes are in season. This is one of the very very very VERY few good restaurants around Altoona. And the only Thai restaurant in the area to boot, unbelievably. Anyhoo, I’ve had Thai food from coast to coast and in Japan as well. My husband has had it in Thailand while in the USMC. Thai food is probably our favorite cuisine because it is extremely healthy, complex, expertly prepared, and beautifully presented. Is this my favorite Thai restaurant? No, but the chef does the best he can with what ingredients he’s able to acquire this side of the pond—and in Pennsylvania for that matter—without having to resort to importing ingredients, thereby driving up food prices astronomically. We know first hand the difficulties of getting supplies. So Altoona should feel so lucky that this place elevates the food scene there in a major way.

Mandatory masks for employees and customers. Clear barriers between employees and customers. There's hand sanitizer available for customers when signing credit card slips, also a bin of clean pens and a separate bin for used pens to be cleaned.
They are open 11am to 230pm on the weekdays and 11 to 3 on the weekend.
To the best of my knowledge, yes. They have a Facebook page and a website, as well.
They have one on https://m.zmenu.com/jaidee-thai-restaurant-altoona-online-menu/
They will be closed the 22nd, and open on the 23rd at 4pm (their normal dinner opening). Enjoy!
