HORRIBLE. Jennifer on the phone is rude and ignoring calls. Steve the director of operations is nice but not really helpful. Marianna the supervisor is a liar having to help her employees that lie on the phone. I had another intake and heard someone in the background I believe it was Marianna whispering to the intake interviewer. She couldn’t focus she was asking me the same questions over and over. Then she put me on hold for 3 seconds and when I asked her why it went on hold she lied and said another call came in and that’s why the phone went on hold. The phone doesn’t put calls on hold when another call comes in? It’s lies. She put me on hold to talk to the person who was whispering. I asked her if the conversation was confidential and between me and her she said yes I said I heard her talking to someone in the background and she ignored that part continued the conversation. There going to loose whatever liscenes they have. I have everything I need. I will take legal action if they do not get down to the bottom of this. They lied and said they don’t do hotel vouchers. Jennifer and Marriana lied. Then when I confronted them about it she said “it’s a hotel program not a hotel voucher” what? That’s the same thing. She knew what I was saying she had to keep up with her lie. I will be talking about my situation with this program on my social media. With a large platform that have I hope this get around and everyone knows about this program. I hope if any dv survivors that have went through this program see my video come out and share there experience with everyone. I am really shocked. I have enough to file against them. This is not a crisis house this is a if we like you house.

Was hoping to get leads to places, people and programs to help me in my current situation. unfortunately, I ended up with only an appointment to come back a few days later and a cup of soup as my "hot meal" ????? now, I don't know about you but, I'm homeless and hungry. Meaning I need immediate help. For goodness sake, you call yourself "Crises" house. At no point did I feel like I was getting help for my crisis situation. And a cup of soup that costs .75 maybe 1.00, should be considered a hot meal to anyone! And as far as the appointment went, when I returned a few later. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Again, at no point did they ask or even offer. Help for the crisis situation I'm going through. Extremely disappointed that, if that's the kind of help out there for those who are seriously going through a crisis,...explains why the homeless do some of the things they do.

The crisis house does next to nothing for anyone. I noticed all the rave reviews are from "local guides" whatever that means. I challenge any one of those people giving positive reviews to contact me and discuss any positive claim they're making regarding the crisis house. The crisis house is a shameful example of people utilizing public funds allocated to help the homeless for their own profit. The employees are snotty deceptive and make it painfully obvious that they couldn't care less about assisting the homeless or anyone else.

Can usually count on finding an outfit in the bin, lunch like mom would have made for you, a restroom people can actually use, the mobile bus from FHC, as well as outreach workers to assist you with your appts etc, and vouchers for CA I D available as well, also if you lack stable housing go there and take the VI-Spidat, it's an assessment to help with permanent housing, transitional housing, or shelter, depending on your needs. Also supervised visitation is available and it's great, many years ago I used their visitation for 6 + months, never had a problem. 5*****

I called and asked, and they said that they do take donations. And unlike Goodwill, the person I spoke with said that they accept unused cosmetics too!
No they won't. Scamming my daughter for several months niw
Crisis House isn't a shelter, they provide very limited services. You can charge you phone during the day but it's a very small, kind of dirty lobby with like 3 chairs, a huge basket that sometimes has donated clothes but they've seen better days, and there is a restroom. You can receive your mail there if you are homeless and they provide hygiene packs once a week. They have a mobile shower there the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Little things like that, but no real help and they have zero beds. There aren't many shelters in El Cajon, if at all, most of the shelters are downtown San Diego.
In order to use the agency's address as your mailing address, you need to sign up there. You need some sort of identification like a current or expired ID, mail from the government, EBT card, etc. Cannot use a credit or debit card.
The answer is yes they are willing to help they can give you a voucher for a hotel along with food and clothing
It's not a medical situation we were promised work here after our home caught fire and then when we arrived here from Washington State somehow there's no job and there's no place to stay . All I'd this wad the only reason I'd of taken my family here. I just need to get these kids out the heat and in to a safe environment. Good thing is I have several job interviews this week.
how can i get my housing grant? i been waiting 4 years since i took vi-spidat
Family health center on main Street El Cajon
Crisis House needs to be shut down. They will never give you your approved housing voucher.Good luck. They have been scamming my homeless daughter and grandchild for six monthe now. Shame on this program. The director of this program must be paying herself a very high salary instead of helping the people in need. I will be contacting some locale tv station's to see if they would like to follow this sad story. Shame on you Mary the director of th Crisis House in El Cajon!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck with that
The SDPD do not "hassle" the homeless over just merely sleeping. With the recent Hepititas A outbreak that has been going on, which has claimed lives, there needs to be something done with the homeless. Downtown San Diego is an eyesore to all and any visitors because the streets smell, tents all over the sidewalks which usually hold drug addicts, urine all over the sidewalks because no business allows these people to come in and use the bathrooms because they stink, shoot up or smoke drugs in the bathroom, graffiti the walls, etc. The SDPD does not just harass the homeless for no reason, and until EVERYONE is willing to go down to the homelss and help, I think its safe to say the SDPD are handling it just fine.
Not at the crisis house
