A residential park with a massive field, sandlot, and woodchip filled dual playground. The tennis courts are accessible most days with low to no wait time. Dog friendly. Airplane, drone, kite flying friendly. Most of all, fantastic park attendants. Ms.Janelle is caring and thoughtful. One of the best parks in Hawthorne. #sorrellready #savvyshammy

Very nice park!! A lot of shade trees & picnic tables. There's two toy/play areas. One for smaller children & another for older kids. My 3 year old plays on both. They also have shaded area to sit for parents close to the toys. Also 2 different sets of swings. Which is nice! One for the smaller children & one for the older kids. Both areas have 6 swings. There's also a basketball court. Bathroom is always clean when I visit.

You need a permit for the bigger areas Which are the 3 furthest to the south of the park, on the grassy area. The ones closest to the playground do not need a permit. They are first come first serve.
It depends on the area. Some areas require a permit while others do not. My wife and just had a birthday party there in September but we had to get there really early before anyone else to reserve out spot.
