We have often gone to EFC, begrudgingly, since it's the closest feed store to us. Pros: it's the closest feed store to us. Cons: the main lady and self described poultry expert is consistently rude and demeaning, their prices are higher than the next closest stores, hours aren't great, and it's located next to a crack house motel. After the most recent bad experience with the ride staff, we have decided to take the extra 5 minute drive to Basin.

I love this place. Awesome people and VERY FAIR on chicken food and dog food
In the spring time they have chicks, but they're an animal supply store. They do hold adoption events however and occasionally have foster animals staying in the store.
They have all sorts of different bedding and their prices are similar, if not better than ranch and home.
