I worked for 3 months on a property cleanup & loaded over 8 ton or ferrous & nonferrous. I had all precious metals sorted accordingly as always have. I've been doing doimg demolition & salvage over 20 years so I am familiar with yard's, scrap prices, etc. I arrived a little after 1pm & asked where to unload. The man pointed over to some concrete barriers & didn't clarify as to what to drop their. I scoped it out & noticed it was all tin, appliances, basic lowest form of metal=shred. I tried to ask the guy if that was the right area to dump and he ignored me other than telling me to hurry up cause there were other trucks waiting. There was one other truck that pulled in and was unloading at another spot. (Not "trucks") and that particular truck unloaded and left. So I unloaded my #steel pipe, my iron fence posts, heavy steel and all the engine blocks. I felt that it was foolish to mix such since I had meticulously cleaned it and separated it. I pulled around to the office to ask what to do with the drums full of brass and copper tubing, and #1 wire, cast, aluminum, etc. I was directed to a couple barrels and told to just put it in them. I asked for another barrel to place the insulated wire in so the stripped wasn't together. Mind you, I had them separate already . He directed me to just place all copper in one barrel. The same went for the brass and dirty brass, aluminum, stainless ,etc. And the guy was rude to me the entire time as if I was a nuisance. I was paid 156 bucks for my 8 tons!!!!!! I have heard such good things about this place but am very very hurt by this.
