Wonderful spot to hike. Give yourself enough time. If you really want to enjoy don’t take kids. This would be little challenging for them. There’re two entry points for this hiking. If you go through discovery center, there’s beautiful place for kids to play and discover. Staffs are helpful, clean bathroom. There’re lots of parking.

First thing first, your cellphones don't work here, so there is zero reception. Huge parking lot with multiple overflow parking here and another huge parking lot at visitor center. Trail is amidst huge trees, so completely under shade. Trail is flat, although there are sections with steep incline. It took us 45 minutes to reach to the top. Real hike starts after you pass the warning sign at the top. It's 30ft ascent and you get your panoramic views One of the easiest hikes, great for beginners.

A 2.2 mile trail, easily navigated and marked. The trail is gravel and compacted dirt based and has a moderate ascent. The summit is a perch view of Seneca Rocks township and the neighboring mountains. This perch view is presented via a platform build out. Dogs are permitted. More info at intotheyonder.com

Excellent trail and very well maintained. Most of it is gravel/dirt with some stairs in the more erosion prone areas. While it can be steep at times, it is not overly long at just about 1.5 miles to the observation deck. When we got to the deck we were lucky enough to have two of the park rangers there to answer questions and take our picture. We did not do the scramble to the peak, but my next trip I will make the further trek to the top.

Questions & Answers

What experience level do you recommend being to hike beyond the platform to the top? Also, if you're somewhat afraid of heights, how far up is it off stable ground once your up on the rocks? It's hard to tell in the pictures.

I've seen people on the rocks at the top but I wouldn't recommend it without safety equipment. There are warning signs.

How do you get to the lookout platform at the top
