I became a Naturalized citizen and had to update my info with the social security office. I made no appointment because I called before going and was told I could walk in anytime during business hours. I was just there 8/11/22 and had a great experience. The wait wasn't bad at all. The security guard at the door gave us directions on what to do. Then I sat in an air conditioned room. The process was fast and easy. Also the employees were very nice.

I had an appt at 9:30 and they never called me not even at 12. The security guard, tall one , was so rude to everyone. I saw elderly ladies crying and people. I am so disappointed. I had to use the restroom after 3 hrs waiting but was told no restrooms. It was a total mess and to deal with the rudeness was humiliating. Shame on all of you

They are horrible. I called to make an appointment and waited for over 30 minutes and got not answer. I tried to do a walk in to see if I could get someone to see me, but the guard said it was by appointment only. I went home and called to make an appointment again, only to be answered by a lady with attitude and, by her tone, you could tell that she did not want to work there. When I told her I wanted to make an appointment, she said that the office is currently closed and does not take appointments. When I told her that I went to office and the guard told me it was appointment only, she offered a different number. When I called the 2nd time, I had "stated" the word "appointment" when the machine asked what I was calling for and that directed me to the rude lady. Why they would direct me to her when she can't make appointments is beyond me. Don't waste your time with them.

I do not normally leave bad reviews like this but my experience has been unsatisfactory, to say the least. 4 1/2 minutes on the phone just to navigate the automated answering machine. Then, the same guy answers (when it actually connects) and it sounds like he's in a porcelain bowl, on a cell phone with 1 bar of service. How am I supposed to make an appointment? Can't book online. Can't get anyone to answer the phone.

You can either walk in or make an appointment.
Can I make a appointment from this office
Unfortunately yes. You'll need to make an appointment over the phone.Unless you're just dropping off documents.Try as many phone numbers you can find, different offices, times of day, etc...eventually someone will answer.Good luck!

Everything is still online.
Yes, if you have the needed documentation

For withholding on social security benefits, give or send the completed Form W-4V to your local Social Security Administration office. Line 3. If your address is outside the United States or the U.S. possessions, enter on line 3 the city, province or state, and name of the country

I went to the social security office and got the form for my kids, filled them out and made a appointment. But make sure you have 2 type of ID, and birth certificate on you. If replacing one I got the form, 2 ID's. Birth certificate and my DD214 with my social security number or something like a paystub.
Not sure, I got mine from on line at my social security.
Yes you can in person or on line
Take your ID's and birth certificate to a social security office and reapply for a new card and you are given an temporary card. You can't do this on line.
Birth certificate n govmt issued ID
In California, You have to go to the SSA office to get a new SSN card
You will need some form of identification unfortunately. You are better off waiting for your passport card to arrive, then apply for a replacement social security card.
Yes
You mean 65 on 8/30/2019? If she has earned 40 quarters she can withdraw early 62 with some conditions, I assume her full retirement age is 66 which is the age she can withdraw the full retirement. Medicare pt. B is not automatic. Go to your nearest SSA office and enroll. Deadline is the end of the month. If she is covered (health insurance), either through her employer or yours, a form must be obtained and completed whixh can be done at SSA
It came to me in 8 days
