Staff and vets are friendly but I believe this place is quite dysfunctional. My senior dog was suspected of having Lymphoma nearly 2 weeks ago and a urine culture was also taken for a possible UTI. Anyone that works with dogs or in the medical field knows this should have taken 2-3 days. It took 7 days to receive results (e coli) and antibiotics. I was informed this was due to the labs website being down. These things happen, but phones and fax are still options used by many vet offices. He also received an xray to check for possible tumors. When picking him up, I was told he would be "right out". 30 minutes later he was returned to me. It was clear to me that my dog had been forgotten. Later, he was referred to another clinic for an ultrasound. The ultrasound results were available immediately and relayed to Mast Blvd the following day. It has now been 2 full days (ultrasound was 3 days ago) and I've yet to hear from Mast Blvd regarding my dogs treatment plan. It's likely he will need a CT scan next, and with every day that passes the soonest available scan becomes later and later. Meanwhile, he's been living in discomfort and losing weight rapidly. If my dog has a treatable disease, then we are losing valuable time. If he cannot be treated, then we are failing to keep him comfortable for his final days. Sitting on test results for 2 whole days without delivering a treatment plan or our next steps is simply unacceptable. While I did mention the staff are friendly, I would be remiss not to mention that at least 1 front desk person seems to have a habit of talking somewhat poorly about clients who are not present, and just makes off color comments in general (even with other clients waiting there). She certainly wouldn't be the bedside manner I would be looking for if I was looking for a compassionate face at a vet office. The rest of the front desk staff have been very friendly, especially the lead there. I just wish the vets were concerned with timely treatment. I know they are busy, but I've never had a vet office fail to provide me with timely diagnostics and treatments this way, and it just happens to be while my dog is experiencing his greatest need for compassionate care. Update: Vet finally reached out after my continued insistence. Requested a CT scan that will now be 2 days later than it needed to be. Still suspects cancer. No appetite stimulants or anything useful given. Why did we need to lose 2 more days to this disease just because someone couldn't pick up the phone?

I went in 6/13/22 around 7PM and asked if there was anyone available to check my dog, they said not until Thursday so I left to other places who were also unavailable but recommended an e collar (cone) for my dog. I recalled upon walking into this location the lady in front of me was given an e collar. I called around 7:45 asking if I can go back and get one, she put me on hold twice just to say no I couldn’t have one. My dog was in such bad shape and I was desperately seeking any type of aid until he was checked. Really unhelpful place, I understand medical attention wasn’t an option but at least an e collar which was given to someone else but refused to me. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The Staff are friendly and great with our fur babies. The Vet is very knowledgeable and open to questions and concerns of all kinds. If ur fur baby needs special food like our pug they got it stock 90% even during the supply chain shortages. I take all 5 of our fur babies here moderately priced with great care and professionalism.

I went to a different pet hospital the night before I took my boy to this hospital. Let me tel you. I was super upset at the other place because they didn’t make me feel like my dog was a priority. They let other pets before him w no appointment made or anything. They just simply let us wait for 4 1/2 hours. I called for the last time and they said to walk and I waited again for another hour for the doctor to enter the room. I decided it can wait another night and I’ll take them to mast since I took my cat here before and I figured it would be nice to have familiarity. Not only when I showed up they were perfect with my reactive German pup but they only had me wait 15 and NOTICED it was an emergency to help him. We’re stilling training my German so it’s a process but he needed it done asap. Thank you MAST blvd pet hospital for helping my pet and making him a priority when no one else was. He is now healthy and doing so much better than he was when it first happened. 💯
