I saw Dr Ashraf Fanous. He told me I couldn't possibly have ADHD and a history of depression. That I should just deep breathe. And was totally invalidating to my mental health issues. I was better off with no care than to be told by a doctor that my issues were made up. Also after this I began to cry, he told me "you don't need to cry".

I called to make an initial appointment, and was told that I needed a referral from my PCP. I called my insurance to verify my benefits, and was informed directly that I didn't need a referral and mental health benefits were covered. I called back the next day to try scheduling again, and the person I spoke to seemed confused when trying to figure out my benefits, said she would call me back, and then never did. Two failed attempts at making an appointment with a provider that should accept my insurance. Should not be so hard! I moved on to a different provider.

We came to SoCal Psychology Centers for my child and the therapist was incredible! My daughter learned so much and loved each time she had her appointment. We started during COVID quarantine and the process was seamless with appointments through Zoom. It was just like being in the office in person. I would recommend SoCal Psychology Centers to anyone!

I have been through many counseling offices through the years. I have been treating here for about 5 months now.The office staff is warm and friendly. My psychologist is phenomenal. I have gained so much new insight into my life from our sessions. From my first appointment to any needs that have come up since I started, I have been treated with friendly professionalism. I am grateful that I found such a great supportive group to help me. I feel very strongly they have helped me to improve my life. Thank you.

No. We have offices in San Diego and in Escondido. However, most of our services are delivered via telehealth. So those cases, it eliminates the worry about getting to our offices.
We have been having some difficulty with our phone service provider this week. Please leave a detailed voice message with a call back number and someone will call you back within 1 business day.
Yes. However, it is important to note that insurance does not typically cover IQ testing, since in many cases, it does not meet medical necessity criteria. Therefore, folks who wish to be tested for their own interest or to apply for membership to organizations like Mensa should expect to self-pay.
